What is the height and restrictions and capacity in the speed boat?

Our speed boat caters for 8 passengers excluding a skipper and a crew staff. Our seats accommodate for anyone over 5ft, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult and also minimum age of children is 4 years old.

What if I am pregnant?

For safety reasons, unfortunately women at any stage are advised not to travel

What if I am a wheelchair user?

Unfortunately, wheelchair is not accessible on a speed boat, Disabled passengers can join the tour if they can board the vessel with minimal assistance.

What should I wear and bring for my trip?

Appropriate climate clothing is advisable such as light waterproof jackets , suitable beach shoes .Also camera to take photos, fully charged mobile phone, swimsuits and beach towels in case you would like to go for a dip or swim on open sea. Don’t forget sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun, sun hat and sunglasses since it can get quite hot and might be exposed.

Do I need to wear life jacket?

For your own safety you must wear life jacket prior to departure and is provided by our crew.

What time do I arrive for my trip?

To make the most of your trip, you are required to arrive 15 mins before your boat is scheduled to leave this allows time for you to wear your life jacket and receive a safety briefing from our crew.

Can I bring valuable items?

It is advisable not to bring valuable items on board as it may get damaged, wet or if get loss and the company SAS Sand Sea Ltd / Your Island Voyage Mauritius will not be held liable for them.

Can I snorkel after consumed alcohol?

Alcohol and Non – Alcohol will be served on board or at the Island after snorkelling and BBQ will be served on the island as per your requirements. Crew members reserve the right to cancel the snorkelling if ever alcoholic drinks are consumed before without prior notice.

Am I safe in a speed boat?

The speed boat is fully equipped with life jackets, floatation device for non-swimmers, first aid kit , VHF radios along with our experienced crews. They receive training to maintain high standards of safety and customer care service as required.

What if I get sea sickness?

It is advisable to take anti-nausea medication an hour prior to your trip and do inform the crew for assistance if you need sickness bag, there will be water available on board for you to remain hydrated.

Can the trip get cancel?

At Your Island voyages we take your safety extremely seriously in the unlikely event that we have to cancel your trip due to severe weather, we will give you as much notice as possible and offer you full refund or book you on alternate day weather appropriate.
